Brian Jones is an educator, activist, and doctoral candidate in Urban Education at the City University of New York Graduate Center. His research focuses on the history and politics of black people’s struggles for education in the United States, and he is currently writing about the late 1960s student movement in Tuskegee, Alabama. Brian is the recipient of awards and fellowships from the Lannan Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the City University of New York.
