Christina Sharpe is an Associate Professor of English at Tufts University. Her research interests are in black visual culture, black diaspora studies, and feminist epistemologies, with a particular emphasis on black female subjectivity and black women artists. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. from Cornell University and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of Monstrous Intimacies: Making Post-Slavery Subjects (Duke University Press, 2010) and In the Wake: On Blackness and Being (Duke University Press, 2016). Her work has been supported by the Ford Foundation.
